Aletheia analyzes political bias across all mediums to help better inform users regarding the content that they consume. It is designed to get information from any website, providing insights that go beyond traditional news sites to cover contemporary sources of information like online forums and social media platforms.
As politics makes its way into our daily lives, it has grown increasingly difficult to identify bias and inaccuracies. While the leanings of newspapers and cable channels may be attainable through google searches, many have started to get their information from online creators who are harder to scrutinize, particularly given that humans are all inherently biased. Aletheia was created for Hack the 6ix to help get around this limitation, using artificial intelligence to analyze both types of content and deliver a verdict.
